I work at Rosemary's Romance Books in Brisbane and read many books as they come out and quite a few ARC. I give advice to lots of people during the day so I thought I'd share my opinion in the blog. If there are specific books you'd like reviewed let me know and I'll see what I can do. (the opinions I express are my own and are in no way to be considered those of Rosemary)

Playing Easy to Get

Playing Easy to Get by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jaid Black, Kresley Cole

Turn up the Heat by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Vince Cappelleti is on the run from the mob when his brother-in-law show's up with a plan, so now Vince is living on an island paradise hoping that his enemies won't track him down.

Allison George has never won anything so when she win's the hideaway heroine sweepstakes she can't believe it. An island full of hunky guys at her beck and call what could be better? Especially when the hot dangerous looking one that makes her wet with a look watches her with fire in his eyes.

An absolute delight to read turn up the heat follows the growth of Allison and Vince until they both become more than they started out being. Hot sex and harrowing gun fights will keep your heart pounding and the humor found in all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's work will ensure you finish the tale smiling.

Hunter's Oath by Jaid Black

An ancient legend says that one day all females on the surface of the planet will die out, so for thousands of years Vikings have dwelt beneath the surface occasionally stealing women from the surface to be brides to the highest bidder.

Sophia Rowley came to Alaska to identify her brother's remains. On the way back to the airport she is kidnapped and taken underground to be sold as a bride. Johen Stefsson is drawn to his new outsider bride and exhausts himself to please her, attempted escape is expected but Johen hopes to prove to Sophia that being his underground bride is so much better than living on the surface alone.

We have come to expect hot sex and dominant men from Jaid Black and Hunter's Oath does not disappoint. A surprisingly poignant tale Hunter's Oath will leave both your eye's and your panties wet. This third book in Black's Viking series will have you looking forward to Deep Dark and Dangerous comming 7 March.

The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole

Nikolai Wroth celebrates finding his Bride, the one woman who brings him back to life, until she deserts him leaving him in an agony of arousal unable to find release without her.

Myst the Coveted is a Valkyrie and as such longs for freedom and things. Secretly she also longs for the Vampire Warlord she deserted years ago, but when he finds a way to force her compliance Myst finds herself longing for the freedom to run into his arms.

This introductory tale for Kresley Coles new series pairs blood enemies, even if they can learn to live together it's possible that their families will always protest the relationship. Throughout the story the characters learn to trust each other and allow a deeper relationship to blossom. The use of Myst's curse to control and threaten her seems unfair until you realize that it's more a burden than a gift. I am looking forward to the first full length book in this series A Hunger Like No Other.

On the whole this anthology of alpha males getting what they deserve in extremely enjoyable and will find a permanent home on my shelves.
